Burley’s Takes Part in Memory Walk for Dementia & Macmillan Cake Sale
We love taking part in events for worthwhile causes in our local area. Recently, the Burley’s team participated in both the Memory Walk for Dementia and a cake sale for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Memory Walk for Dementia - October 13th 2018
The Memory Walk for Dementia is a sponsored walking event organised by the Alzheimer’s Society across multiple locations, raising money for dementia research. This is an amazing event that helps support thousands of people living with dementia in the UK.
Our care management team took part in the 5km walk along Bournemouth seafront on the 13th October, to show our ongoing support for all those living with dementia; we look forward to taking part in the walk again next year!
Macmillan Cake Sale - 28th September 2018
The Burley’s team held a cake sale on the 28th September, raising £119 in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Our carers and office staff lovingly baked an assortment of cakes, including cupcakes, Victoria sandwiches, fairy cakes and chocolate brownies, before selling them to passers-by in Ringwood.
We thank the members of our team that took part in these worthwhile events; everyone involved greatly enjoyed themselves and we can’t wait until our next charity event!
